LUCY d'AUVERGNE THE SCULPTOR
For over three decades, Lucy d’Auvergne has explored the lives of wild and domestic animals through conservation, film, and art. Her work with species ranging from wild chimpanzees to Eurasian otters has shaped a profound understanding and empathy for non-human animals and their fragility within the modern world.
Through sculpture she translates life experience into tangible, lasting forms. At the heart of her work is a desire to look beneath the surface – seeking to capture something of the essence of the individual. Her distinctive patination creates textured surfaces and organic tones evocative of the softness of fur—making each piece as unique as the animals that inspire her.
She creates limited edition pieces for galleries and exhibitions, and one-off private commissions.
